MSSU golf finishes seventh at Broncho Invitational

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Missouri Southern Men's Golf team finished seventh at the Broncho Invitational presented by RCB Bank at the Gaillardia Country Club Tuesday afternoon.

Junior Connor Neil paced the Lions with a three round total of 226 (77-75-74) and a share of 16th, while seniors Taylor Lansford (74-82-74) and Cameron Hamilton (79-77-74) finished with a share of 35th with a two day total of 230. Freshman Chase Rogers finished four strokes back and senior Phillip Roller rounded out the team scoring with a 245.

Central Missouri won the team title with a three round total of 875 followed by Henderson State at 896 and hosts Central Oklahoma at 903. Texas A&M International finished fourth at 906 and Southwestern Oklahoma State rounded out the top five with a total of 913.

Brendon Jelley of Oklahoma State took individual medalist honors with a three round total of 210 (73-71-66) and Central Missouri's Cole Dillon finished second with a 216 (77-71-68).

Southern will be back in action next week as they travel to Austin, Texas to take part in the St. Edward's Invitational hosted by St. Edward's University at the Onion Creek Country Club.
