MSSU women's cross country takes 7th at Arkansas mnet

Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern women's cross country team placed 7th today at the Chili Pepper Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.

Emily Harris led the Lions with a 47th place finish, traversing the 5k course in a time of 17:37.24. Sierra Gray placed 103rd with a time of 18:25.65, while Cynthia Torres completed the race in a time of 18:32.69. Kindra Emberton finished in a time of 18:44.72, while Sarah Usher completed the course in a time of 18:45.82. Sara Lin and Alessandra Moss had times of 20:02.12, and 20:03.64.

The Lions placed sixth amongst non Division I teams with a total of 212 points, including defeating nine Division I schools in the process.

Southern will be back in action next weekend, competing in the Jackling Jocks Invitational at Missouri S&T.
