The Missouri Southern women's cross country team placed third and is heading to the Division II National Championships after a strong performance today at the NCAA Division II Central Regional Meet in Wayne, Neb.
Two Lions earned All-Region honors as Dora Eastin placed 19th with a time of 22:31.15 over the 6k course, while Emily Harris was 23rd in a time of 22:33.59.
Kaitlyn Belisle was 35th in a time of 23:01.96, while Dana Roberson placed 37th in a time of 23:03.62. Kindra Emberton placed 39th in a time of 23:03.62, while Addie Mengwasser was 62nd in a time of 23:45.74 andSierra Gray placed 66th in a time of 23:49.91.
The Lions placed third with 150 points. Minnesota-Duluth took home the team title with a total of 40 points, while Augustana placed second with 59 points. Winona State was fourth with 151 and all four teams qualify for the Division II National meet.
That meet will be run on December 6 in Louisville, Ky. as part of the Division II Sports Festival.
