Missouri Southern volleyball coach John Napier has announced the addition of two local volleyball standouts to join the Lions for the 2015 season.
Both Bradyn Wall and Candace Tracy join the Lions from Carl Junction High School where they played for coach Sarah Wall.
Wall played for her mother at CJHS and was the starting setter for the Bulldogs. Wall was an All-State pick as a junior and an honorable mention All-State pick this year as a junior. She helped the team to a 109-21-12 overall record during her tenure, while going a perfect 29-0 in the Big 8 over the last four years. She was named first-team All-District twice and was the Big 8 Conference Player of the Year as a senior.
She finished her senior season with 41 aces, 163 points, 190 digs and 647 assists. As a junior, Wall had 851 assists, 285 digs and 40 aces, while dishing out 653 assists and adding 189 digs as a sophomore. Wall holds the CJHS record for most assists in a match (40), most assists in a season (851), and most assists in a career (2,159). She is the daughter of Jesse and Sarah Wall. Her father is the athletic director at CJHS and her mother is a graduate of MSSU and coaches the CJHS volleyball team.
Tracy has been a defensive specialist for the Bulldogs earning four varsity letters in her career at CJHS. As a senior, Tracy had 397 digs, 22 aces and 142 points and was a second team All-Big 8 pick, while earning All-District honors.
As a junior, Tracy had 156 digs and five aces, while she added 165 digs and 13 aces as a sophomore. Tracy was a four-time Academic All-State pick and is the daughter of Mike and Tina Tracy. Her mother, Tina, is an employee of MSSU working in the registrar's office.
