Missouri Southern sophomore vaulter Emily Presley has been named the MIAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Monday.
Presley was the top collegian at the 2017 Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational this past weekend. She picked up another NCAA AQ in the event with a height of 13-07.25. Currently, Presley is the top-ranked women's pole vaulter in Division II, eight inches in front of her nearest competition and is nearly two feet higher than any other MIAA pole vaulter this season.
The Lions will be in action this weekend as they compete in the 2017 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Southwest Baptist University.
