Missouri Southern head Men's Golf coach, Mike Wheeler, has announced the signing of Jacob Becker for the 2017-18 season.
Becker comes to Southern after a successful high school career at Augusta HS in Augusta, Kan. Becker lettered all four years for the Orioles and qualified all four years for the Kansas State High Schools Activities Association (KSHSAA) Class 4A State Championships. On Monday May 22nd, Becker won the KSHSAA Class 4A individual title after a three man playoff with a score of 75.
"I drove the par four green to about 10 feet [from the hole]," said Becker. "I had an easy two putt for the win."
The 6 foot 2 Becker was also a three time letter winner in basketball for the Orioles. Jake is the son of Eric and Angie Becker and is the youngest of three. He plans to major in business while at Southern.
