Four Missouri Southern golfer were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Friday, May 19th.
The conference announced 104 members to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Of those 104, ten have earned the MIAA Scholar Athlete Award. To achieve honor roll status, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
The MIAA Scholar Athlete Award is given to those who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50, have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms, and, if competing in a championship sport of the MIAA, earn All-MIAA honors.
The Lions earning the honors were sophomore Jake Badovinac (Harrison, Ark.) with a 3.1 GPA in Marketing, sophomore Tristan Haltom (Thornfield, Mo.) with a 3.6 GPA in Mathematics, senior Taylor Lansford (Tulsa, Okla.) with a 3.1 in International Business, and junior Connor Neil (Springdale, Ark.) with a 3.6 in Management.
Newcomers and MIAA Academic Excellence Awards will be given out following the end of the 2016-17 school year.
