Schedule released for MSSU teams' games in MIAA Basketball Championships

The Missouri Southern men's and women's basketball teams have both qualified for the 2020 MIAA Basketball Championships presented by Citizens Bank and Trust. Games will be played from March 4th through the 8th inside historical Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.

The Southern women have qualified ninth and will open the tournament taking on the 8th seed Washburn at noon on Wednesday, March 4. The Lions lost both games to the Ichabods this season, but Southern split its final six games of the regular season, including an 85-49 win today on Senior Day against Lincoln.

The Lions' men are the third seed and will open up against the No. 6 seed Northeastern State RiverHawks in the final game of the day on Friday, March 6 at 8:15 pm. The Lions defeated the RiverHawks 65-62 at home in January in the regular season.

Northwest Missouri is the No. 1 seed on the men's side, while Central Missouri is the No. 1 seed for the women. Complete brackets can be found below
