The Series

Southern has won nine out of the last 13 meetings between the two schools and hold an overall record of 23-18 against the RiverHawks. The Lions' 77-69 overtime win at home in 2006 stopped a three-game losing streak to the RiverHawks. Southern had won just three times in Tahlequah, but the Lions picked up a win at Jack Dobbins Fieldhouse in 2012 and in 2014. The Lions are 18-5 at home, 3-13 on the road and 2-0 in a neutral site against the RiverHawks.

MIAA Team Stat Leaders

The Lions, as a team, lead the MIAA in defensive rebounds per game, rebound margin, scoring and total rebounds per game.

MIAA Individual Stat Leaders

Cam Martin leads the MIAA scoring, rebounds, defensive rebounds per game, double-double's, free throw attempts, free throws made, total points and total rebounds, while ranking second in blocks, field goal percentage, and total field goals made.

He finished with 720 which is the second most scored in a single-season at MSSU. Martin needs just 21 more points to become the only player to ever score 700 or more points twice in a career.

Cam You Score A lot II

Cam Martin set the MSSU single-game scoring record at Missouri Western last week as he scored 54 points against the Griffons.

The 54 points is the most scored in Division II this year and Cam is one of only four players to hit the 50-point plateau this year. Martin has two of the top-eight scoring games this season in Division II.

20-Win Seasons

The win against Central Missouri gave the Lions 20 wins for the third-straight season and the fifth time in the last seven seasons. It is the fourth 20-win season in Jeff Boschee's six years as a head coach.

All-MIAA

Cam Martin was a first-team All-MIAA selection for the second time in his career. Kinzer Lambert was a second-team pick, while Elyjah Clark was a third-team choice. Braelon Walker was a member of the All-Defensive Team.

Get to the Line

The Lions are shooting 79 percent from the free throw line this year, but in the last eight games, Southern is making 87 percent of its free throws, going 150-of-173 from the charity stripe.

Player Of The Week

Cam Martin was the MIAA Player of the Week seven times this year.

Reachin' A Grand III

Cam Martin went over the 1,000 point plateau with his 26 points against Nebraska-Kearney on Jan. 6, 2020. Martin accomplished the feat in 45 games, the fastest Lion to hit that mark. He currently has 1,399 points in his career and is just behind Matt Olson in 11th place.
