The Missouri Southern Lions (3-6-1, 1-5-0 MIAA) fell 2-1 to visiting Northwest Missouri State (5-3-1, 2-2-1 MIAA) Sunday afternoon at Hal Bodon Field.

Hammons recorded the only save for the Lions before going out in the 84th minute after a collision with a Northwest Missouri player. Freshman Bryar Wiley would finish the game in the net for Southern.
The Lions offense got seven shots on goal on the afternoon and was led by freshman Taylor Beck with two.
Southern will be back in action Friday October 10th as they travel to Warrensburg to take on the 13th ranked Central Missouri Jennies.
