MSSU volleyball falls in straight sets to Nebraska-Kearney

The Missouri Southern volleyball team fell in straight sets tonight at home to seventh-ranked Nebraska-Kearney. Individual set scores were 13-25, 15-25, 16-25.

The Lions (5-16, 2-11 MIAA) were led offensively from Katie Politte (pictured) as she finished with nine kills and five digs.Abby Finder dished out 15 assists, while Jacy Ermel had seven digs. Callie Whetstone had four blocks, while Alxy Gepford and Katie Wiele had six digs each.

UNK (19-2, 11-2 MIAA) was led by LaRose Currie with 11 kills and she hit .526 in the match. She added eight digs. Caitlin Broadwell had ten kills, while Erin Seele had 40 assists.

The Lions will be back in action on October 24 as they travel to Missouri Western. First serve is slated for 7 pm.
