Missouri Southern senior distance runner Eric Schott has been named the MIAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Schott, a native of Cape Girardeau, Mo., picks up his fourth weekly league honor of the season as he has won the award each week he has competed.
Schott helped the Lions to the team title this week at the Missouri S&T Jackling Jocks Invite. He won his fourth event this season and has yet to be defeated by a Division II runner. He traversed the 8k course in a time of 24:53.12, as the Lions had four of the top five runners in the event.
Schott and the Lions will be off this week as the team prepares for the 2014 MIAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 8 at Southwest Baptist.
