Seven Joplin softball players named to Ozark Conference team

Seven members of the 2014 Joplin Lady Eagle Softball team were recognized for their accomplishments this season by the Ozark Conference. For the second year in a row, Junior pitcher Mikaela Cox was named the conference Pitcher of the Year, as well as an unanimous first team selection. Another unanimous first team selection, Junior catcher Kenzie Goswick, was named the 2014 Player of the Year. Joining Cox and Goswick on the first team were Senior outfielder Shantel Beck (U), Senior infielder Ashlie Green, Junior infielder Tamara Mascher (U), and Junior Utility Player Adrienne Myers. Sophomore infielder Kinsley Stewart was named to the second team.

After guiding the Lady Eagles to a second consecutive undefeated Ozark Conference championship, head coach Kirk Harryman was named the 2014 Coach of the Year. This is the second consecutive year Coach Harryman has received coach of the year honors.
