The Joplin Blasters are proud to announce their 2015 Inaugural season schedule. With the release of the schedule today, fans can start planning for the 2015 slate of games. To view the schedule, click on the link at the end of this article.
“We are extremely excited about the release of our 2015 schedule,” said Blasters’ GM Shawn Suarez. “We are lucky to have a full slate of games against quality opponents and a lot of games on the weekend. Fans will have an exciting night out at the ballpark every night.”
The Blasters will open the season at home on Thursday, May 21st with game one of a four game set against their South Division rivals, the Wichita Wingnuts.
The Blasters will play an outstanding 9 Friday and 9 Saturday home games over the course of the 2015 season to showcase a renovated Joe Becker Stadium. Teams coming to Joplin to play will include the Winnipeg (Canada) Goldeyes, Kansas City T-Bones, Gary Southshore Railcats, St. Paul Saints, Sioux City Explorers, Lincoln Saltdogs, and a to be determined team from the Canadian American League. As well as, divisional foes Amarillo Sox, Grand Prairie Airhogs, Laredo Lemurs, and defending American Association Champions Wichita Wingnuts.
Joplin will also play host to Lincoln over the July 4th Weekend. With a three-game series set to kickoff on Friday, July 3rd against the Saltdogs.
The final regular season home game will take place on August 30th, with the Blasters wrapping their season up on a 7-game road trip that ends in Sioux Falls Monday, September 7th.
The American Association will play as a 13-team league in 2015, with Joplin joining the South Division. The schedule will be a 100-game, full-season format with the three division winners and one wild card team making the playoffs.
Specific game times and promotion schedules will be announced at a later date. Fans can begin planning on a full slate of entertainment value during the summer of 2015.
