Southern soccer, Lindenwood battle to 0-0 tie

The Missouri Southern Lions (3-7-2, 1-6-1 MIAA) battled the Lindenwood Lady Lions (4-5-3, 3-3-2 MIAA) to a 0-0 double overtime tie Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Bryar Wiley got her second start of the season as she played all 110 minutes in the net for Southern and came up with 17 saves while facing 25 Lindenwood shots.

The Lions offense took 12 shots in the match with six being on goal. Freshman Aubrey Lindsey led the way with three shots on goal, with fellow freshman Hannah Bomar adding two and junior Kayla Gajewski added the other.

Southern will be back in action October 17th as they travel to Topeka, Kansas to take on the Ichabods of Washburn. Kick off for that match is scheduled for 6pm.
