The Missouri Southern volleyball team fell three sets to none tonight at seventh ranked Washburn inside Lee Arena. Individual set scores were 20-25, 14-25 and 10-25.
The Lions (4-12, 1-7 MIAA) were led by both Katie Politte and Krishna Merriman as the pair had eight kills each, with Politte adding five digs. Abby Finder had 19 assists and six digs, while Jacy Ermel had five digs and Katie Wiele had six of her own. Callie Whetstone had five kills and two blocks.
Washburn had two in double-figures for kills as both Korie Thompson and Leanna Willer had 12 kills each. Natalie Bates added 39 assists.
The Lions will be back in action on October 10th and 11th as Southern plays host to Central Missouri on Friday and Lindenwood on Saturday.
