Pitt State baseball falls to Emporia State 11-0

EMPORIA, Kan. — Seth Holman scattered seven hits over seven innings of complete game work as the Emporia State University baseball team blanked Pittsburg State University, 11-0, in the MIAA opener for both squads Saturday (Feb. 25).

The Hornets (8-2, 1-0 MIAA) and Gorillas (6-6, 0-1 MIAA) will resume the three-game series with a 1 p.m. game Sunday.

ESU broke open a 1-0 game with a seven-run fourth inning.

Holman (3-0) walked none and struck out four Pitt State batters. Andrew Vogelbaugh went 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Gorillas offensive attack.
