Emily Presley once again won the pole vault and again hit an automatic qualifying mark as the Missouri Southern women's track and field team competed both at home and at PSU today.
Presley hit a mark of 13-03.75 which is an AQ and won the pole vault. Samantha Donnell and Mylene Loridan had provisional heights of 11-10.00 and finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Emily Harris picked up a provisional at Pitt State in the Mile, placing second in the event with a time of 4:59.72. Sierra Wells was 15th in the 3k at Pitt.
In other action at home, Tifffany Gilford won the 60m dash in a time of 7.97, while Destiny Akannam won the 400m in a time of 58.60. Ronise Miller was sixth in the 400m.
Kelsey Evans was second in the 600 yard in a time of 1:31.01, while Rachel Ray and Kristen Koch finished third and fourth. Sara Lin won the 800m in a time of 2:26.49, while Sierra Gray won the 3k, in a time of 10:40.28. Gabriel Hillwas fifth in the 3k, while Shelby Jackson was seventh, Shelby Werner placed ninth and Meggi Augostosky was 11th.
Morgan Smith went on to win the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.80, while Ray was fourth in a time of 9.70. Allie Heckemeyer picked up a provisional and an event win in the triple jump, leaping to a distance of 38-01.25, while Sierra Barrett was third.
The Lions will be back in action next week with meets at both Nebraska and Central Missouri.
