The Joplin Demize will hold open tryouts for spots on their National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) roster on Sunday, March 23 from 11am to 1pm with call backs held from 3pm to 5pm at the Joplin Athletic Fields. Players will be signed after the completion of the Sunday call back scrimmages.
This open tryout is being conducted for high school, club, collegiate and men's players interested in competing for roster spots for the Joplin Demize. The team is in the process of completing their roster for the upcoming season, and they are looking to fill specific positions. All players will receive a numbered Demize t-shirt at the tryout.
Joplin Demize is in the South Central Conference of the NPSL, which qualifies the team for the U.S. Open Cup. The team is will be made of local talent with players from Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Illinois. The new team allows players from local colleges an opportunity to showcase their talents.
Players can register on site starting at 10:30 am the day of the tryouts. The registration fee for players is $30.00, and covers all tryout dates and times.
