MSSU men to open tournament play Saturday

The Missouri Southern men's basketball team, fresh off a championship in the 2014 MIAA Basketball Tournament, will be the No. 3 seed and will face off with the No. 6 see Fort Hays State Tigers in the 2014 NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament, held this weekend in Mankato, Minn.
The Lions and Tigers will play at Noon on Saturday, March 15 in the first game of the tournament. The winner of that game will get the winner of the Central Missouri/Arkansas Tech game on Sunday at 5 pm. 
Tickets for the event will be available online only and can be purchased through the MSU ticket office atwww.msumavericktickets.com. Tickets will be sold by session, meaning one ticket will get you admission to each of the games on that particular day. Reserved seating will cost $15 per ticket, while general admission seats will be $10 for adults with tickets for youths ages 5-17, as well as senior citizens and college students with ID running $5. 
The Lions will leave Thursday morning for Mankato and will have a practice session and pre-tournament meeting on Friday. Games will start on Saturday, and continue with the semi finals on Sunday. The Championship game will be played on Tuesday evening.
