(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)
For the second-straight week, Missouri Southern sprinter Jeff Fraley has been named the MIAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced today.
Fraley, a 5-9 native of St. Robert, Mo., set two more school records this past weekend as the Lions played host to the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational. Fraley ran the anchor leg on the 4x100m relay that, for the third-straight week, broke the school record in the event. The group ran the race in a time of 40.43 which ranks sixth nationally and second in the MIAA.
He then went out and broke the school record in the 400m, racing to a time of 47.56. That time currently ranks 15th nationally and is tops in the MIAA.
Fraley and the Lions will be back in action this week when Southern travels to Lindenwood for the 2015 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
