Missouri Southern junior distance runner Eric Schott won the 10k as the Lions competed in day two of the 2014 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships inside Dwight T. Reed Stadium on the campus of Lincoln University.
Schott earned All-MIAA status in the race, one of two Lions to do so on the day, as he came in with a winning time of 31:05.11. Jake Benton was 12th, while Adrian Todd placed 12th.
Zach Williams picked up All-MIAA status in the javelin as he earned a provisional and placed third in a distance of 195-10.
Tylor Albright was 8th in the long jump with a distance of 23-02.00, while Darion Boure was 10th and Clark Tanksley placed 12th.
Nicklas Polizzi placed 6th in the discus with a provisional toss of 164-07, while Bryan Burns was 18th in the event.
Miles Migliara qualified for the finals of the 800m with a time of 1:53.16, while Jazz Allen qualified fourth in the finals of the 110m hurdles, turning in a time of 14.78. Allen barely missed qualifying in the 400m hurdles, as didAnthony Price in both the 200m and 400m.
The Lions will finish off the meet tomorrow with the remaining field events and finals in the running events.
