Missouri Southern pole vaulter Raymond Woldtvedt picked up a strong provisional and a third place finish today as the men's track and field team competed at the MSSU Last Chance today inside Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
Woldtvedt hit a height of 16-08.00, which currently sits ninth nationally. Brady Melugin was eighth in the event at a provisional height of 15-10, while Morgan Hold and Zach Wuest placed ninth and 11th, respectively.
In other action, Darion Boure won the triple jump in a distance of 47-00.25, while placing second in the long jump with a mark of 23-01.75. Nicklas Polizzi placed fifth in the discus with a distance of 155-11, while placing fifth in the hammer with a distance of 166-08.
Zach Williams won the javelin with a throw of 181-09, while Jazz Allen hit a provisional with a second-place finish in the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.68. Jake Benton won the 3k steeple in a time of 9:43.20.
The Lions will now wait to see who will qualify for outdoor nationals. The meet will take place on May 22-24 in Allendale, Mich., hosted by Grand Valley State.
