The Missouri Southern women's track and field team picked up two All-MIAA performances in day two of the 2014 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Dwight T. Reed Stadium on the campus of Lincoln University.
Brittani Reagan finished second in the long jump for the first All-MIAA nod of the day. She jumped to a provisional distance of 19-06.25, which ranks her 11th nationally and ties her personal best from earlier in the year. Shelby Newell was ninth in the event, while Kaylee Morgan was 11th, and Taitum Mead was 13th.
Kaitlyn Belisle finished off the night with an All-MIAA performance in the 10k as she placed second in a time of 37:13.92. Emily Harris was seventh in the event with a time of 38:06.99.
Morgan started things off for the Lions, earning points in the heptathlon as the sophomore finished fourth with a provisional total of 4,832. That mark ranks her 17th nationally.
Sydney Haase was seventh in the pole vault with a height of 11-06.50, while Ashleigh McFarland finished 11th.
Amber White qualified for the finals in both the 200m and the 400m. She broke her own school record she set last week in the 400 and was the third-fastest qualifying time, turning in a mark of 54.77 in the event. She qualified fourth in the 200m with a time of 24.53.
Jasmin Hughes qualified for the finals of the 100m in a time of 12.24, while Kindra Emberton qualified fifth in the 800m with a new personal best of 2:10.44. JeAnna Sheppard just missed in qualifying for the finals of the 100m hurdles.
The Lions will finish off the meet tomorrow with the remaining field events and finals in the running events.
