The Missouri Southern men's track and field team continued the outdoor season and finished sixth at the 2014 State Farm Emporia State Relays today in Emporia.
Leading the way for the Lions was jumper Darion Boure as he picked up a second place finish and a provisional mark with a jump of 50-8.50.
Jazz Allen placed fourth in the 110m high hurdles with a time of 14.70, while Anthony Price was 5th in the 400m and 12th in the 200m. Tyler Rush and Eric Schott placed 5th and 9th in the 1,500m, while Jake Benton was sixth in the 3k in a time of 9:00.58.
Colton Wooldridge and Nathan Henry placed second and fourth, respectively in the 3k steeplechase. Wooldridge finished in a time of 9:36.91.
Raymond Woldtvedt and Brady Melugin placed third in the pole vault with a height of 15-7, while Morgan Hold andZach Wuest placed 9th and 12th, respectively.
Bryan Burns placed 15th in the shot put, while Nick Polizzi and Burns placed 10th and 15th in the discus. Burns and Polizzi also placed 12th and 14th, respectively in the hammer throw.
Pittsburg State won the team competition, while Coffeyville CC placed second. Central Missouri was third, followed by Emporia State, Oklahoma City, Southern, Allen County CC, Oklahoma Christian, St. Cloud and Butler CC round out the top ten.
The Lions will be back in action next weekend competing in the ESU multis on April 10th and 11th, and going to the PSU relays on April 12th.
