Missouri Southern senior thrower Kylie Cornman won the shot put at the 2014 Central Missouri Mule Relays Friday in Warrensburg.
Cornman hit a provisional mark of 47-07.25 in her second-to-last attempt to take the title in the shot put by almost a foot in front of the second-place mark. The distance currently ranks tenth nationally.
Cornman then turned in a solid performance in the weight throw where she placed eighth with a distance of 146-05.
The Lions will be in action today, competing at the 2014 Missouri S&T/Dewey Allgood Invitational.
