The 2013 season was not a good one for Mitchell Boggs.
Boggs started the season as the St. Louis closer, taking the place of injured Jason Motte. That did not work out well and soon he was relegated to mop-up duty. Eventually, he was traded to the Colorado Rockies, who cut him at the end of the season.
The New York Post is reporting that the Mets are interested in signing Boggs.
Boggs, of course, was a valued set-up man for the Cardinals in the 2011 world championship year and in 2012.
