The Missouri Southern men's basketball team will look to stay undefeated in MIAA play as the Lions play host to No. 22 Washburn University on Saturday at 3 pm inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
MIAA Team Ranks: The Lions lead the MIAA in turnover margin, while ranking second in steals, blocks, scoring margin and offensive rebounds. They rank third in field goal percentage, while ranking fourth in scoring offense and scoring defense, as well as rebounds and assists.
MIAA Individual Ranks: Marquis Addison ranks ninth in scoring in the MIAA, while ranking seventh in free-throw shooting and second in steals. Jordan Talbert is fifth in the league in rebounding, while ranking third in assists and second in offensive rebounds. Slim Magee ranks second in field goal shooting, while Lane Barlow ranks fifth in steals.
National Ranks: The Lions, as a team, rank 21st in Division II in both scoring margin and blocks, while ranking 27th in blocks per game. Individually, Jordan Talbert ranks 27th in total blocks, while ranking 33rd in blocks per game.

Season Highs: Southern has four of the MIAA team highs this season in field goals made (43 vs. Avila), FG percentage (.652 vs. Avila), assists (30 vs. Avila) and blocks (30 vs. Avila). Individually, Jordan Talbert's six blocked shots against Ottawa is the most in a game this year in the MIAA.
Passing 1,000: Marquis Addison became the newest member of the 1,000 point club at MSSU with 20 points against Central Missouri last season. He currently has 1,239 points, moving in front of Hiram Ocasio for 11th place all-time in scoring at Southern. He is the fourth Lion in the past three seasons to pass 1,000, joining Jason Adams, Skyler Bowlin and Keane Thomann.
Corn Moves Up Wins Ladder: Coach Robert Corn won his 380th career game against Central Bible and that moved him into fourth place on the MIAA career wins list, passing Truman's Boyd King (46-71). He now has 394 wins and is second among active coaches (Bob Chipman).
Points a Plenty: With the 101 points scored against Ottawa, it is the first time in the program's history the Lions have scored at least 100 points or more in three-straight games. Southern has had back-to-back 100+ point games multiple times and had a stretch of four of six games in the 1985-86 season, but the Lions have never had three-straight games with 100+ points until today.
Up Next: The Lions will step out of MIAA action and play host to Arkansas Tech at 7 pm on December 17th.
