NCAA Div. II Cross Country Regional to be held at MSSU in 2015

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The NCAA today announced that Missouri Southern State University and the MSSU Cross Country Course will be the host of the NCAA Division II Cross Country Central Regional in 2015.
Missouri Southern also was a finalist to be a site for a National Championship, but all of the host sites have not yet been announced.
The Lions served as the host to the 2012 NCAA Central Regional, as well as the Division II National Championships. Missouri Southern has also served as a host for the 1999 and 2007 NCAA Division II National Championships. The MSSU Cross Country Course has been host to a regional five times in the past 14 years (1999, 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2012).
"Once again, this speaks volumes about our staff and the city of Joplin that the NCAA would select us as a host," said director of athletics Jared Bruggeman. "MSSU has hosted this event multiple times and I truly believe the championship environment that our fans, our volunteers and staff help create, is one of the best experiences anyone in sports can have."
