MSSU men's track picked third in preseason poll

The Missouri Southern men's track and field program has been picked to finish third in the MIAA preseason coaches poll, the league announced today.

Fresh off a 16th-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships and a fourth-place finish at the 2015 MIAA Indoor Championships, the Lions are picked third in this year's preseason poll.

Jeff Fraley earned All-American honors in both the 60m and 200m, while Darion Boure earned All-American status in the triple jump at this year's NCAA Indoor Championships.

Pittsburg State was a unanimous choice as the preseason favorite. Central Missouri was second, followed by Southern, Nebraska-Kearney and Emporia State to round out the top five. Lincoln and Fort Hays tied for sixth, while Northwest Missouri was eighth, followed by Lindenwood and Southwest Baptist.

The Lions will have split squad action this weekend with some athletes going to Pittsburg State and others going to Washington University in St. Louis. 2015 MIAA Preseason Men's Coaches Poll 1.
