The Missouri Southern men's basketball program has earned the No. 3 seed in the 2015 MIAA Basketball Tournament the MIAA announced today.
The Lions will play the winner of the SBU - Nebraska-Kearney game at 8:15 pm on Thursday, March 5 inside historic Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
Northwest Missouri won the regular-season title and is the No. 1 seed in the tournament. Central Missouri is the No. 2 seed with Lindenwood earning the fourth seed.
Number 5 Pittsburg State will play host to No. 12 Northeastern State in a play in game on Monday, March 2. Nebraska-Kearney is the No. 6 seed and will host No. 11 Southwest Baptist, while No. 7 Central Oklahoma will host No. 10 Missouri Western. No. 8 Washburn will host No. 9 Fort Hays.
Tickets for games in Kansas City can be purchased on Monday or Tuesday by either emailing Randon Coffey (coffey-r@mssu.edu) or by calling at 417-625-3075. Missouri Southern's allotment of single-session tickets have been sold out, but all-session passes can be purchased for $50.
There will be a send-off for the women an hour and a half before their game near the escalator at the Kansas City Marriott.
