The Missouri Southern golf team finished in sixth place at the 2014 Henderson State/First Federal Bank Invite today played at Branson Creek Golf Club in Hollister.
Ryan Buerk shot a second-round 75 and finished tied for third overall with a two-day total of 146. Andrew Maierequaled his first-round total of 74 to finish tied for sixth at a 148. Taylor Lansford finished with a two-day total of 155, while Ethan Hutcheson shot a 162. Skyler Arbuckle shot a 163, while Austin Karnes finished with a 175.
Arkansas Tech shot a second-round 304 and finished one stroke in front of second-place Southwestern Oklahoma State to take the team title. Henderson State was third, five strokes off the lead, while Lindenwood and Delta State tied for fourth with a team total of 605, eight strokes off the lead.
Southern was sixth at 607, while Harding, Missouri Western, Murray State CC, Sioux Falls and John Brown round out the team scores.
The Lions will be off until the 2014 MIAA Golf Championships which will be held at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas on April 21-23.
