The Missouri Southern men's track and field team posted three victories and had 12 top-three finishes in the final day of the MSSU Invite today inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
Miles Migliara picked up a win in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:15.24, while Andrew Webster used a strong final lap to take the win in the mile that saw four Lions finish in the top seven. Webster clocked a time of 4:23.06, while Eric Schott and Tyler Rush placed 3rd and 7th and Colton Wooldridge (7th), Ryan Jackson (11th) andNathan Henry (12th) rounded out a strong event for the Lions.
The 4x400m relay team of Clark Tanksley, Anthony Price, Erron Holley and Jeff Fraley took home the title in the event with a time of 3:27.11. Fraley and Holley placed second and fourth, respectively in the finals of the 60m dash as Fraley picked up a strong provisional, finishing in a time of 6.79 that ranks third nationally. Fraley was second in the 400m dash with a time of 50.28, while Tanksley, Price and Holley placed 3rd, 5th and 11th, respectively.
Tanksley picked up a provisional in the triple jump with a second-place finish in a distance of 47-06.25, whileDarion Boure finished third in a provisional distance of 46-11.50. Tanksley was second in the high jump with a height of 6-06.75, while Michael Juergens earned a provisional in the pole vault with a height of 15-05.00. Juergens was second in the event, while Brady Melugin, Morgan Hold and Zach Wuest placed 3rd, 5th and 8th, respectively.
Drew Buckner was third in the 800m run with a time of 2:02.78, while Webster paced a strong pack of Lions in the 3k with a fourth place finish. Schott was fifth, while Jake Benton, Jackson, Wooldridge and Henry placed 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th in the event.
The Lions will be back in action in two weeks, splitting action at the Jayhawk Classic and Central Missouri.
