Back-to-back home runs by Jedd Gyorko and Matt Carpenter broke a 3-3 tie in the ninth and Bud Norris struck out the side in the bottom of the inning for his career-high 25th save as the Cardinals continued their hot streak with a 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday evening.
The four-hour plus West Coast game lasted a bit long for those who had to work this morning, but those who stayed with the game until the end were amply rewarded.
