Missouri Southern senior guard Marquis Addison has been named the MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Addison, a 6-4 native of Olathe, Kan., helped the Lions to two wins last week as Southern won 113-83 against SBU and 110-90 over PSU.
In the SBU game, Addison scored 33 points and had three rebounds, shooting 12-16 from the field, 4-5 from three point range and 5-7 from the free-throw line. He added four assists, and a steal and also helped the Lions tie a school record with 15 made three's in the game.
Against Pitt, Addison scored 17 points and had nine rebounds, while adding three assists and four steals. For the week, he averaged 25 points, six rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and shot 56 percent from the field, 63 percent from three point range and 75 percent from the free-throw line.
Addison and the Lions will wind down the regular-season this week with road games at Lindenwood and Lincoln.
