MSSU women's track picks up five provisionals in Nebraska Tune-Up

The Missouri Southern women's track and field team picked up five provisionals Friday as the Lions competed at the Nebraska Tune-Up on the campus of the University of Nebraska.
Amber White picked up a provisional in the 400m, finishing fourth in a time of 56.17, while Emily Harris picked up a provisional in the 800m, finishing third in a time of 2:15.99. Sydney Potts was eighth, while Kayla Bartelsmeyer was 26th. Kindra Emberton was 12th in the mile, while Sierra Gray, Bartelsmeyer and Dana Roberson placed 22nd, 27th and 28th. 
Kaitlyn Belisle won the 3k with a provisional time of 10:08.52, while Emberton and Harris placed 6th and 12th, respectively. Cassy Kendrick was third in the 5k with a time of 18:17.16, while Taitum Mead and Kaylee Morgan placed 6th and 12th in the 60m hurdles. Jackie Wallace was 15th in the hurdles. 
Whitney Hardy was seventh in the high jump, while Ashleigh McFarland picked up a provisional in the pole vault, finishing fourth in a height of 12-02.75. Morgan was third in the long jump, while Brittani Reagan and Mead placed 6th and 8th, respectively. Reagan finished third in the triple jump with a provisional mark of 38-04.25, while Shelby Newell and White placed 6th and 7th, respectively. 
The Lions will be back in action next weekend, as Southern plays host to the 2014 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
