MSSU's Fraley, Boure break records at Oklahoma Baptist Invitational

Missouri Southern junior sprinter Jeff Fraley punched his ticket to nationals and broke his own school record in the process, while Darion Boure set a record in the triple jump and the men's track and field team competed at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational held this weekend at the indoor facility on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. 
Fraley ran a 6.71 to win the 60m and qualify for nationals in the event. He broke his own school record in the event by .05 and is now ranked third nationally in the event. Fraley also won the 200m, running a provisional time of 21.90, while Erron Holley picked up a provisional mark and improved his time in the event finishing second at 22.28. Justin Lord was ninth in the event. Anthony Price finished third with a provisional time of 49.78 in the 400m, while Jazz Allen finished sixth in the 60m hurdles. 
The Lions dominated the 3k as eight finished in the top 12 and nine in the top 18. Andrew WebsterTyler Rushand Eric Schott placed 2-3-4 in the event, while Alex Mason and Colton Wooldridge placed seventh and eighth.Jake BentonNathan Henry and Adrian Todd placed 10-11-12 and Drake Smelser was 18th. 
Brady Melugin picked up a provisional and a fourth-place finish in the pole vault with a height of 15-05.00, whileMorgan Hold placed sixth. Tylor Albright won the long jump with a provisional distance of 23-06.00, placing him 16th nationally in the event, while Boure was seventh. Boure won the triple jump with a big leap of 49-07.25, placing him fourth nationally and breaking the school record in the event, breaking a record that stood for nearly ten years. 
Bryan Burns placed tenth in the shot put and finished fifth in the weight throw. 
The Lions will be back in action next weekend as Southern sends athletes to both the University of Nebraska and Central Missouri.
