(From University of Missouri Extension)

University of Missouri Extension, in partnership with the Mizzou Alumni Association's Greater Ozarks Chapter, is hosting the fourth Mizzou Community and Leadership Network luncheon from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Springfield Botanical Center, 2400 S. Scenic Ave, Springfield.

The special guest at the session Feb. 13 is Dan Reiter, Vice President/General Manager of the Springfield Cardinals. Reiter has been with the Cardinals since 2004, working himself up from sales to General Manager. He is a 2003 graduate of Mizzou with a degree in marketing.

"The Springfield Cardinals won their seventh Field of the Year award this year and they continue to have a positive economic impact on the community has well as our quality of life," said David Burton, county engagement specialist with University of Missouri Extension. "But Dan and the organization have also demonstrated the ablity to turn lemons into lemonaid when necessary so I think we can all learn from his leadership story."

This program is an opportunity to network with community-minded people and learn from a Mizzou alum who is making a difference according to Burton.
