Patrick Mahomes on Super Bowl berth: We fell short last year and we learned from it

For those of who are old enough to remember the Kansas City Chiefs' appearing in two of the first four Super Bowls and beating the Vikings in 1970, the Chiefs' win over the Tennessee Titans was long overdue.

And consider that tens of thousands of Chiefs fans were not even born or are not old enough to remember the last time the Chiefs beat Joe Kapp and the Vikings (and do not even know who Joe Kapp is).

In this KMBC video, quarterback Patrick Mahomes shares his thoughts on the wins, noting that last year's disappointing loss to New England in the AFC Championship Game set the stage for this year's triumph.

"We fell short last year and we learned from it," Mahomes said.

Mahomes praised his teammates and noted, "I've been put in a great situation and I try to maximize it every day."
