Mitch Holthus calls the last minute of the win that sent the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl in 50 years

Over the past several years, I have had had many occasions to listen to Kansas City Chiefs games on radio, dating back to the days when Bill Kenney was the starting quarterback and not a losing candidate for lieutenant governor.

I always enjoyed the smooth professionalism of play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus, and especially appreciated his enthuiastic calling of "Touchdown- Kansas City."

This KMBC audio features Holthus call of the last minute of the Chiefs win over the Tennessee Titans Sunday, a victory that put the Chiefs in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years.

While it was well worth the wait, I only wish that it could have happened during the days when Holthus was joined on the broadcasts by the late Bill Grigsby and by Len Dawson, the Hall of Fame quarterback who led the Chiefs to their only Super Bowl win.
