MSSU's Cam Martin named MIAA Men's Basketball Co-Athlete of the Week

Missouri Southern junior forward Cam Martin has been named the MIAA Men's Basketball Co-Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office today.

Martin, a native of yukon, Okla., helped the No. 12 ranked Lions to a 3-0 record this week, including two road wins against FHSU and UNK, as well as a non-conference win over No. 11 NAIA John Brown.








For the week, Martin averaged 17.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals, while shooting 49 percent from the field, 40 percent from long-range and 82 percent from the free throw line.

He had 19 points and eight rebounds in 34 minutes against John Brown to start the Lions' week. Martin had seven points and 11 rebounds at FHSU then finished his week with 26 points and 13 rebounds at UNK, going 12-of-19 from the field and crossing the 1,000 point plateau at MSSU in just his 45th game as a Lion.

Martin shares the award this week with Northwest Missouri's Trevor Hudgins.
