MSSU's Cam Martin named to Bevo Francis Small College Player of the year watch list

Missouri Southern junior Cam Martin has been named to the Bevo Francis Small College Player of the Year Watchlist as announced by Small College Basketball today.

This is the second year in a row for Martin to be named to the watchlist. The list starts with 100 players and will be trimmed to 50 players on February 15. It will again be trimmed to 25 players on March 15. The finalists will be announced on April 4 and the award will be announced on April 2.









Martin has been the MIAA Player of the Week three times this year already. Martin ranks 31st nationally in free throw attempts, while ranking 32nd in total points, 34th in free throws made, 35th in scoring, total rebounds and total field goals made and 37th in rebounds per game.

He leads the MIAA in free throws made and attempted, while ranking second in total points, total rebounds, scoring, rebounding and total field goals.

Earlier this year, Martin became the 24th member of the 1,000 point club at MSSU. He was the fastest player in MSSU history to accomplish the feat.

Martin is one of four MIAA individuals on the watchlist including Diego Bernard, Ryan Hawkins and Trevor Hudgins of Northwest Missouri.
