Four Lindenwood University players scored in double figures as the visiting Lions rolled past the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team, 76-55, Saturday (Jan. 14) at John Lance Arena.
LWU (14-6, 4-4 MIAA) built a 15-point halftime cushion against Pitt State (3-13, 1-7 MIAA), before stretching its margin to as many as 33 points in the second half.
Breno Larson-Gulsvig scored a game-high 22 points for the Lions, while Bakari Triggs added 12 and L.J. McIntosh and Jackson Price chipped in with 11 apiece. The Lions made 12 3-point field goals in the contest.
Jaxon Holden scored a team-leading 14 points for Pitt State, while Isaiah Hick added 12 points. Creigton Brinker finished with seven points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Gorillas will return to action Wednesday (Jan. 18) when they travel to Emporia, Kan., to face MIAA rival Emporia State University at 7:30 p.m. (CST).
