MSSU's Fraley named MIAA Track Athlete of the Week

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

Missouri Southern senior sprinter Jeff Fraley has been named the MIAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced today.

Fraley, a native of Waynesville, Mo., opened up the first event of the indoor season with a bang as the senior and No. 1 ranked 60m runner to start the season started with an Automatic Qualifying time in the 60m dash of 6.74 to win the event in the MSSU Early Bird Open. That time is .03 off his best time from a season ago and it was the first time he had run in a competition since injuring himself at the 2014 D-2 Indoor National Meet.

He followed that up with a 48.50 in the 400m to win that race, as well. That number, converted to a banked track where the National Championship will be held, is a 47.74, which is just .40 off of an Automatic Qualifying mark in that event, and is a provisional time.
