MSSU women ranked 18th in Top 25 poll

The Missouri Southern Lions Women's Basketball (8-0, 2-0 MIAA) coming off a 66-62 road win over then seventh ranked Washburn has entered the WBCA/USA Today Top 25 poll at 18.

This is the first time the Lions have been ranked since the 2007-08 season, where they were ranked for four weeks reaching 16th in the January 1st poll. The highest the Lions have entered the poll before was seventh on Januray 18, 1993. That season Southern was ranked for the entire season and was seventh in the final poll with a record of 27-4 and finished second to Washburn in the South Central Regional.

The Lions are back in action this coming Monday, December 15, as they host former MIAA rival Truman State. Tip is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
