The Missouri Southern golf team finished the three round NSU Men's Classic in 13th.
Southern shot a three round total of 932 (319-301-312) to finish 10 shots behind Washburn and eight shots ahead of Nebraska-Kearney. Central Oklahoma won the tournament with an 879, followed by West Texas A&M at 888.
Senior Ryan Buerk once again led the way for the Green & Gold carding a 228 (76-74-78) for a share of 32nd. Sophomore Taylor Lansford finished with 235 and freshman Spencer Smythe finished one stroke behind Lansford at 236. Junior Ethan Hutcheson came in at 239 and freshman Aaron Shoemaker rounded out the Lions squad with a 245.
This was the final MIAA points event of the 2014 fall season and in that the Lions placed seventh.
Southern will be back in action on Sept. 29th and 30th as they travel to Kingston, Okla. to take part in the Texoma Championship at the 7,085 yard par 72 Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club.
