The Missouri Southern women's soccer program landed senior midfielder Alex McCord on the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region team Monday morning presented by the United Soccer Coaches.
An education major, McCord followed all the requirements of earning a grade point average of a 3.0 or higher (3.04) along with her effort on the field. She contributed to a program that
combined for a 3.15 GPA towards capturing the Team Academic Award for the ninth time in school history.

The Shoreview, Minnesota native finished tied for second on the team in goals with four, which all came on penalty attempts (4-for-4), while also taking second in points (9) and shots (22) on her way to earning All-MIAA honorable mention.
Two other players from the MIAA earned third-team All-Region honors in junior midfielders Emily Madden (Emergency & Disaster Management; 3.32) and Isabelle Romano (Marketing: 3.61) to round out the conference.
