(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern men's and women's track and field teams will open up the indoor season as the Lions will compete at Pittsburg State today and tomorrow.

The Southern women will send two athletes (Miracle Grant and Claire Luallen) to compete in the Boo Rodgers Combined Events today. Those events will begin at 1 pm inside the Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State. Grant and Luallen will open up with the 60m hurdles and then will conclude with the 800m later tonight.

The Crimson and Gold Invitational will comprise the rest of the track meet and will be ran Saturday. Those events will begin at approximately 11:30 am on Saturday morning.

The Southern men's cross country team is coming off of an 11th place national finish at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships. Freshman Gidieon Kimutai placed fourth individually as the Lions won both the MIAA and Central Region Championship.
