The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the lineup of players and former players scheduled to visit Joplin – specifically, Robert Ellis Young Gymnasium on the campus of Missouri Southern State University – on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Current players include Jordan Hicks (P), Giovanny Gallegos (P), Junior Fernandez (P) and Lane Thomas (OF). Former players include Tom Pagnozzi and Al Hrabosky. Former St. Louis pitcher, Ricky Horton, will serve as the emcee.
The free event starts at noon, and will feature presentations and a Q&A session with players - followed by autographs and giveaways. Autograph tickets will be available at the door on a first-come-first-serve basis for kids ages 15 and younger. The United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas will accept donations for tickets for a chance to win giveaway items.
The “Cardinals Caravan” is brought to MSSU with the assistance of KGCS-TV, and is sponsored by the Cardinals, Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance and Zimmer Radio. More details can be found by following the link: www.cardinals.com/caravan.
