The Missouri Southern Athletic Department announces promotions for the 2018 baseball and softball seasons. The promotional schedule features fan giveaways, ticket discounts, pet promotions, and opportunities for fans of all ages to enjoy.
"As our spring seasons get into full swing we are excited to have some great promotions fans can take part in," said Randon Coffey, Director of Marketing and Sponsorships. "Both softball and baseball are into their conference seasons and we hope people can come out enjoy some sunshine and have fun at our ballparks."
Saturday, March 24th- Bark at the Park 2018 (Softball and Baseball)
All fans with dogs are invited to bring them to Missouri Southern's bark at the park. Both softball and baseball will play at home and dogs are welcome to enter either facility. The first 250 fans with a dog will receive a free Lions dog bandana. The day will also feature a dog costume contest for prizes at each game and a dog photo booth. Baseball will take on Emporia State at 1pm and Softball will host Pittsburg State for a doubleheader at 2pm and 4pm. Tickets for either baseball or softball are $5 and if fans would like to attend both games tickets are $7.
Friday, March 30th- Pink Game (Softball)Softball will host their annual pink game in order to bring awareness to those fighting breast cancer. The team will wear pink uniforms and have area breast cancer organizations on hand to give information to fans about what is going on in the local area. All cancer survivors will be admitted for free. Games are scheduled for 2pm and 4pm against Fort Hays State.
Saturday, March 31st- Military Appreciation and Dollar Day (Softball)
Softball will host a military appreciation game with special items being given away by the Missouri National Guard and Show Me Gold program on campus. All current or former military members will be admitted for free. Also that game will be dollar day as tickets, hot dogs, canned soda, nachos, and popcorn will be just $1 for the day. Games are scheduled for 12pm and 2pm against Nebraska Kearney.
Friday, April 13th- Joe Becker Stadium Game (Baseball)
Baseball will play a special one game event at Joe Becker Stadium on April 13th against Southwest Baptist at 6pm. The night will feature a post-game fireworks show and free baseball hats for the first 1,000 fans. Tickets for the game are $7 and kids 12 and under are free.
Saturday, April 21st- Dollar Day (Baseball)
Baseball will have special pricing on Saturday April, 21stat 1pm against Northwest Missouri State. The game will take place at 1pm and all fans will be admitted for $1 and concessions items including hot dogs, canned soda, nachos, and popcorn will be just $1.
Friday, May 4th- Military Appreciation Day (Baseball)
Baseball will host a military appreciation game with special items being given away by the Missouri National Guard and Show Me Gold program on campus. All current or former military members will be admitted for free. The Lions will play Fort Hays State at 6pm.
Tickets for home baseball and softball games are $5 and kids 12 and under are admitted for free to all home games.
